Prestige Debate Academy offers Debate classes geared for 4th-12th graders in a tiered instructional format.  No prior debate or public speaking experience is required, and we encourage students who are naturally shy or nervous about public speaking. 

Prestige Debate Academy is an approved provider for Blue Ridge Academy, Granite Mountain Charter School and Sage Oak Charter Schools.

I.     Beginning Debate: Introduction to Debate teaches our students to overcome fear of public speaking and gain confidence.  This program also teaches the basics of speech and argumentation, research and writing, analysis and critical thinking through presentations, speech, cross examination drills and mini debates.  

II.     Intermediate Debate: Intermediate Debate is intended for students who have taken Beginning Debate or who otherwise have some experience in speech, debate or public speaking.  This program focuses on developing techniques, strategies and skills required to debate competitively, including: case writing, evidence gathering & presentation, cross-examination, refutation, framework, clash, rejoinder, summary, crystallization and voters.  

III.     Competitive Debate:   Competitive Debate prepares interested and qualified students to compete at local, statewide and national debate tournaments.  (Note: Tournament fees and costs are billed separately from class fees.)
